Design, implement, and oversee financial activities for CST and BM entities. Provide advisory support to management on financial matters, with a focus on both accounting and financial planning. Take primary responsibility for supervising the day-to-day maintenance of costing and financial reporting activities, as well as managing financial account statements and the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Oversee accounting and financial analysis activities, and ensure legal compliance with all external reporting requirements.
• Manage end-to-end costing transaction activities and related accounting practices for the group’s sub-ledgers. Ensure accounting records are prepared and maintained in line with Cabot’s global standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Lead the consolidation of data to prepare required government reports.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes—guaranteeing accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, while proactively identifying financial or business-related issues.
• Support the Plant Finance Manager in preparing and communicating forecasts, analyses, budgets, and other financial information.
• Assist the Plant Finance Manager in SOX implementation and propose recommendations for process improvements.
• Track and follow up on cost reduction projects.
• Support and review the Tax Accountant’s tax filings to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage team members and provide guidance to direct subordinates.
• Provide other support to the Plant Finance Manager as needed.
• Expertise in accounting and financial principles, with the ability to apply these in a business context.
• Strong understanding of local statutory and tax accounting, as well as reporting requirements.
• Ability to build trust and secure support from stakeholders across the organization.
• Proficiency in monitoring and managing team performance, plus experience in developing subordinates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Education/Experience
o Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
o Minimum eight years’ experience in accounting/financial area, 2 years’ experience in management position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
