Position Summary, 职位概述

This role is responsible for technical sales support of Specialty Carbon products in the AP region, ensuring customer satisfaction by providing product information, consultation services, and resolving product-related issues. Key responsibilities include coordinating resources to support the sales team, assisting in the promotion of new products or new-grade products, following up on product quality feedback and driving the efficient closure of related issues, while also providing guidance to relevant personnel and supporting the Responsible Care® Management System to meet RC14001® specification requirements.

This role reports to Commercial Director.

The role is best located in Shanghai, China.

Job Responsibilities, 工作职责

  • Responsible for technical sales support related work for Specialty Carbon products in the AP region, ensuring customer satisfaction in terms of product information provision, consultation responses, and resolution of product issues.
  • Plan and coordinate resources to ensure appropriate support for sales team activities such as customer visits.
  • Assist in the promotion of new products or new grades, negotiate quality specifications by monitoring customer trials and obtaining technical approvals, while ensuring product issues are resolved.
  • Effectively implement Performance Based Management (PBM) by engaging in self-improvement, clarifying personal goals and tasks, and carrying out work with professional competence.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to relevant technical support personnel, sales staff, and related project personnel.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Responsible Care® Management System, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification applicable to relevant sites/regions.

Requirements, 要求

Competencies:

  • Strong in polymer knowing the nature the polymer well or able to acquire knowledge of new polymer quickly with strong learning agility, polymer process able to give recommendation to sales and customers how to process polymer.
  • Employee Management. Ability to employ resources with right skills and provide direction, coaching and development to facilitate success of staff in delivering positive results. 
  • Team Leadership. Ability to mobilize, support and guide the collective group of individuals towards achievement of objectives in a manner that fits with the Company’s values and standards of excellence.
  • Technical Excellence. Knowledgeable about Cabot’s technical capabilities
  • Technical Product and Process Knowledge. Knowledge and capabilities to be recognized as credible advisor in the manufacturing technology, implementation and stewardship. Preferred to have experience of handling process equipment, no matter in lab or factory scale.
  • Communication, Presentation & Engagement. Ability to engage with others in a manner that is relevant, timely and appropriate to the environment. Strong in communication:  very convincing communication skill to build strong relationship with customers’ engineer and  R&D.
  • Problem Solving. Applies analytical thinking to identify causes of and identify potential solutions to problems.  Able to be innovative in identifying new solutions.
  • Good personality : open mindset and good listening skill. be accountable and has strong mindset of ownership spirit

 

Skills/Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in technical field.
  • Requires 8+ years experience, including prior leadership experience.
  • English fluent and willing to travel cross region.
